Dear Sand Pine Parent,

Think Big, join the PTA! The Sand Pine PTA invites you to join us in making a difference in the education and well-being of our children.

We all know that statistically, children excel in all aspects of their education when their parents are involved. We also know that our children benefit when parents, school faculty, students and the community work together. The PTA brings all these groups together to share thoughts and ideas that will enrich our children's education. Your PTA also provides information and resources that strengthen these relationships and aide us in raising our children. This information is provided through workshops, videos, brochures and other communication channels. Joining the PTA also gives you a voice at our General Assemblies on issues that are important to our children.  These meetings are a great resource to all parents and we encourage your participation.  This is a great way to see how your involvement benefits the school and most important our children.

Last year, your PTA sponsored programs, family events and provided items such as:

Programs: MOSI Stargazing, Safe House, Escape School, FBI Internet Awareness and Ident A Kid.

Family Events: Carnival, Bingo Nights, 50s Dance & Ice Cream Socials

Items: School Playground, Flags for the portables, Traffic Cones, Water Fountain for PE area, Teacher Appreciation Week.

And with your help, much more can be achieved this year!

Be a part of this excitement and join the PTA!  You do not have to be a parent to support the PTA; we encourage you to include Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles, neighbors or any member of the community.  Your support will help us reach this year's goals.  After joining the PTA, there are many ways that even the busiest parent can become involved.  We are always looking for people to volunteer their time, talents and resources, only if they are able to.  There is no time commitment required if you join the PTA.  Your membership itself will be of great help towards supporting our school.  However, if you would like, we do welcome donations of gift certificates and/or merchandise that could be used for appreciation gifts, etc.

I look forward to meeting our new PTA Members and work together towards a better future for our children.
