The Walk-A-Thon was Feb 1!
It was another fun event that saw SPES students walk, or rather run around the bus loop to raise money for Sand Pine! Many thanks to our volunteers making this fundraiser so successful and fun, and to all our parents who supported this important event! See pictures here!
The 5th Annual Fall Festival was held Friday, November 4th! Everyone who attended will agree this fun filled evening lived up to it's reputation. There were lots of kids and families enjoying all the activities throughout the night. Thank you to all our incredible volunteers. This event is not possible without you. A special thanks to Peggy D'Alessandro who made it all come together. Thanks also go to Kristine Freed for her pictures!
It was a Book-O-Ween Parade on Monday, October 31st! Our students didn't disappoint the King & Queen (Mr. Cluff & Mrs. Kinzie) who made sure everyone had a fun Halloween! Thanks to Stacy Fisher for her pictures!
Our first Bruster's Night was a huge success! There was quite a line keeping Mr. Cluff and Mrs. Kinzie busy taking orders the night of Wednesday, October 19th! They came through and all who came for treats had a great time. Thank you to Mr. Cluff, Mrs. Kinzie, and Bruster's for a fun and delicious evening that benefited Sand Pine! See the pictures here!

Friday, May 13th was our last PTA Bingo Night and PTA General Assembly. The room was filled with anticipation as next year’s PTA board members were introduced. We had lots of lucky winners and a pie eating contest! Many thanks to our volunteers and our sponsors, Firestone, Kristine Freed Photography, Shear Perfection, Martial Arts Advantage, Bonefish Grill, Shapes for Women, Avon Rep Chrissy Hymiak, Photography through Your Eyes, Yung Ho Martial Arts, Xtreme Adventures, and Clarion Hotel. It was Teacher Appreciation Week May 2-6! Teacher appreciation week is a week dedicated to all of our teachers. It is a time to say thank you to our teachers for all of their help, and show our gratitude for all the time and effort that they have put in our education. The week started with a special breakfast for Sand Pine Teachers and Staff. See pictures here!
April 29th’s Relay for Life was an unforgettable event remembering those lost to cancer and celebrating those who have survived. Led by Mari Blank, our Sand Team raised $10,000 to help find a cure. Thanks to all who contributed to this important cause. See the pictures here!
Bruster’s Night was April 27th. Mr. Cluff & Mrs. Kinzie did their best serving everyone at Bruster’s during our last Bruster’s Night of the year! There were many satisfied customers, and no service complaints! Many thanks to Bruster’s, Mr. Cluff & Mrs. Kinzie! See the pictures here!
Movie Night Under The Stars was held on April 15th. Sand Pine's families came out Friday night to watch Tangled shown outside on the basketball courts. Not only did everyone have a wonderful evening, but we raised over $500 for Relay for Life! Thank you Stacy for the pictures!
Our Spring Walk-a-thon was March 25th! It’s our largest fundraiser of the year. The kids were so excited about the opportunity to participate and earn some very cool prizes! Thank you so much for your participation and support! Special thanks to Stacy for sharing her pictures with us all!
In honor of Valentines Day, Friday, February 11th was the PTA Family Dance! 300 tickets were sold and everyone had a great time! The decorations, the balloons, the cookies and juice, the pretty fountain, the pictures, the music - and all the rest of the details - right down to the flyers, made the evening special for all who attended! Sand Pine celebrated Friday October 29th with the annual Halloween Parade around the bus loop! Family & friends came and saw the creative costumes Sand Pine students came up with this year. Happy Halloween! Thank you Stacy for the pictures!

Mom's Lunch and Muffins with Mom was October 14-15. It was moms' turn to enjoyed a lunch or muffin with their Sand Pine children. The pictures show how much the children loved sharing a meal with mom! See the pictures here!
Dad's Club Lunch & Donuts with Dad was held October 7-8. This special annual event is an opportunity for Dads to spend time at Sand Pine having lunch with their children, and those Dads who were unable to participate in the Dad's Club lunch, Friday morning was Donuts with Dad. Thanks to all our volunteers and those Dad's who made the day special for their students.
We had a full house at our first Bingo Night & General Assembly Meeting August 27. Lots of families braved the rain and came to test their luck at bingo Friday night. There were lots of happy winners and smiles as several teachers attempted to out eat Mr. Cluff in a pizza-eating contest! Many thanks to Catherine McLain for organizing this event and all our sponsors: First Watch, Beall's, Firestone, Tijuana Flats, Shear Perfection, Bonefish, Big Cat Rescue, MOSI, Punch and Xtreme Adventures!
