PTA Reflections Chair

Description: Conduct and promote National PTA Reflections Program. Get support from school staff and parents. Determine funds needed. Develop project calendar, select judges and guidelines for storing. Establish awards and ceremony. Get word out by promoting event.

Responsibilites

  1. Organize a yearly national PTA Reflections program starting in early September.
  2. Advertise the Reflections program through the use of posters, school news, flyers and local media.
  3. Recruit various judges for selection of school winners and forward those finalists to the county level by deadline date for further judging.
  4. Have an awards ceremony for all participants during the General Assembly in January.
  5. Present Ribbons / Medallions to participants.
  6. Continue to follow-up with those entries that placed at state and national.
  7. Attend all Executive Board and General Assembly meetings - and notify Vice President when unable to do so.
  8. Submit a written work plan for the year to the Executive Committee for approval as well as any changes to the plan during the year.
  9. Prepare and submit a budget to the Budget Committee prior to its planning meeting.
