PTA Public Relations Chair
Description: Develop and maintain media contacts and provide info to the
media with upcoming information of special events. Clip articles for historian.
Responsibilites
- Responsible for developing and maintaining media contacts
- Send out information to notify the media of any upcoming PTA announcements and special events.
- Keep a record of deadline dates and follow-up when articles are due.
- Clip all articles for the PTA scrapbook and give them to the Historian.
- Have the Corresponding Secretary send out Thank You notes for any articles and live coverage.
- Attend all Executive Board and General Assembly meetings - and notify Vice President when unable to do so.
- Submit a written work plan for the year to the Executive Committee for approval as well as any changes to the plan during the year.
- Prepare and submit a budget to the Budget Committee prior to its planning meeting.
